Our “Aurum Breuni” extra virgin olive oil is on sale
“Aurum Breuni” is our extra virgin olive oil, served daily at the tables of Restel de Fer. We also sell it, so you can enjoy its pure, authentic flavor!
We have named our Olive Oil “Aurum Breuni” (oro del Brione), taking the Latin name the Romans gave to the olive oil of Monte Brione, comparing it, for its high quality, to Gold.
Our extra virgin olive oil comes from just over a hundred Casaliva olive trees that grow on the slopes of Monte Brione, just 500 meters from the Locanda.
These centuries-old trees belonged to our grandparents; that's why we take such good care of them throughout the year, to ensure their ability to continue producing high quality Lake Garda olive oil.
We harvest the olives in October and take them to be pressed the same day at the Frantoio Olio Cru in Riva del Garda. Early harvesting and immediate pressing result in an oil with a low yield, but one that maintains the olives' organoleptic properties, with a very low residual acidity (an important parameter of quality).
