The residence was built
as a farmhouse in the
late 15th
century. From the very
first, it was known as
‘Restel de fer’, the
name referring to the
large wrought iron gate
that used to give access
to the property and that
is now located at the
entry of the Locanda. In
1965, the farm was
turned into a Locanda,
and later it underwent a
preservative
restoration.
