The village is situated in the river Sarca Valley, north of Lake Garda and is surrounded by Lake Cavedine and further north by Lake Toblino with its beautiful castle. In this geomorphologic and environmental landscape of great interest, we find the glacial wonder of the so-called «Marocche», a 187 million cu. mt. mass of boulders. Dro is one of the most ancient places in the Sarca Valley. From here there are many opportunities to go on excursions and walks, thanks to the sheer rock walls that surround it. Dro is renowned for the high quality of different kinds of fruit especially for its plums, which are the best that can be grown in all Europe.
